President and CEO John Brannon founded LightSpeed in February 2001. He has led the company to exceptional growth through a turbulent telecommunications market. Under his leadership, the company has grown in size every year since inception.
Prior to LightSpeed Technologies, John Brannon worked at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He held management positions during his 13 years with Lucent and Bell Labs that included partnering with executives to fiscally manage projects and departmental costs. His leadership guided teams into new telecommunications markets, such as government, alternate carriers, utilities and key commercial markets.
He has proven time and again he possesses strength in finance, operations and the ability to get the job done. In January 2001, he was recognized by his peers as the only one of over 1,500 Lucent executives to exceed company’s yearly business objectives by over 150% for five consecutive years.
John Brannon holds a B.S./B.A. in Business Administration/Finance Concentration from the University of Delaware, and a M.B.A. from Monmouth University in New Jersey.
